Sharron Dansby is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. While raising a family and employed with the federal government, Sharron became a part time student at Saint Leo University and graduated in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She continued her studies at Troy State University and graduated with a Masters in Business Administration in 2003.
Sharron began her career as an accounting technician and worked her way up through the ranks, holding various positions in different aspects of financial management, and achieved her goal as a senior financial manager before retiring in 2009.
Sharron progressed in her professional life and prospered in her relationship with God. Sharron invited Christ into her life at age twenty-one and committed to her own emotional healing and spiritual growth. She mentored many women in pursuit of their professional careers and dedicated numerous hours coaching others in their personal growth.
Sharron is a motivational speaker to help people get out the rut and engage in an abundant life. She has been key note speaker and workshop leader at numerous professional and non-profit functions. She is a student and teacher of the Word and has taught all ages of Sunday school classes and teen bible study classes, engaged in teen ministries, facilitated women’s discipleship classes, orchestrated women’s seminars and events, and served as Director of Women’s Ministry.
In 2012, Sharron published her first book “Journey through the Furnace…God is There” to share her story of living through the trauma of child sexual abuse, its long term effects and the process of healing to live a victorious life. She is an entrepreneur and started Sharron Dansby Ministries, LLC to empower women to develop healthy relationships. She is the founder and Executive Director of Maximizing God’s Woman, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to help women survivors of child sexual abuse to embrace their life experiences and press forward to achieve their God designed destiny. Sharron facilitates a course “Stewards of Children” that brings awareness and steps to prevention of child sexual abuse. Sharron’s passion to help others restore broken relationships and move forward in their lives led her to become a certified Relationship Life Coach.
Sharron currently resides in Prince George County, MD with her husband Charles.
